Infrastructure Engineer

Charles Simon Associates are currently looking for an Infrastructure Engineer on a permanent basis for a very prestigious client based in Manchester. Location: Manchester

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum

 

Skills/Requirements for the Infrastructure Engineer:

  • Experience in a similar role previously
  • Virtualization experience either Hyper-V or VMware
  • Extensive Active Directory
  • Experience of Windows Server
  • Disaster recovery experience
  • Firewall experience, any product: ASA, Juniper, CheckPoint, FortiNet/FortiGate etc
  • Experience of O365

 

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience within Azure
  • SAN Storage, any products
  • SharePoint or SharePoint Online
  • Load Balancing
  • Group Policy

 

Start date is ASAP for the Infrastructure Engineer

 

The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing current projects and their associated milestones and prioritise
  • Maintaining and Improving existing infrastructure by consistent checks and reviews
  • Supporting IT Service Desk to resolve escalated calls or provide training and support
  • Maintaining the Microsoft Server Estate
  • Managing changes to network switches and Firewalls
  • Perform Software and hardware upgrades to Switches Firewalls and servers across the Infrastructure estate
  • Maintaining the SAN and VMware infrastructure
